A sloping, low maintenance garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
A sloping garden retained with vertical timber logs to provide a lower paved patio area. Timber steps lead up to a raised deck area with rope balustrade and the bank either side of the steps is planted with low maintenance plants and covered with cobbles. A small pond has been added as a last minute addition to add further interest.
A gravel drive built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This drive was built to a high specification using shingle laid over a strong base edged with brick. The gravel was left slightly low on the brick edge to prevent migration and there is a large block paved area leading to the front door.

A steeply sloping garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
Complete with a level lawn area supported by vertical logs concreted deep into the ground. A rope balustrade will keep people away from the edge and steps leading down to the shed make access possible.
A large natural stone patio and steps built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
These large steps invite people out into the large garden and are a wonderful stand for brightly coloured containers. The black materials used were to set off the surrounding planting that was being carried out by the customer, a florist.

This feature was added to a large patio to provide a seat, herb garden and central water feature. The bed is also lit to create a dramatic focal point at night.

A low maintenance sloping garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This garden has been transformed by removing 70 tonnes of clay from below the topsoil and adding new log walls to retain the new level upper area. The paving was replaced and laid over a new base to eliminate the puddles in the existing paving.

A sloping garden levelled using timber retaining walls built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This alternative view of the sloping garden (to the left), shows the new sleeper steps up to the level lawn area. The log walls around the boundary show the extent of the level changes. A drilled stone water feature adds interest and a brick edge around the lawn helps maintain neat edges. New planting is put in around the borders and lighting added to allow the garden to be used in the evening.
A low maintenance stone patio built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This garden is shadowed by a large oak and around its base we have built a tree seat sat on a small area of deck. The main garden is paved with planting and cobbles around. Steps lead down to the new lawn created out of an old overgrown orchard to provide the children a clear lawn play area.

A natural stone patio with water feature, brick path and gazebo built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This garden has been completely rebuilt but based very closely on the original garden created by the owners 20 years previously. The garden had become very overgrown and a large conservatory had been built. An additional gazebo has provided a quiet area to sit and look over the rest of the garden, even if raining.

This is a different view of the garden to the left, showing the limestone paving against the purbeck dry stone retaining walls. This is one of 5 different paved areas providing a variety of places to sit and admire the view. The steps lead up to the new level lawn surrounded with brick edging and a brick path across the back of the garden to allow people to walk around the entire garden on firmly paved surfaces.
A small town garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This gently sloping garden was improved with a new patio leading onto a level lawn area supported by low stone walls. The remaining garden was cobbled and planted for low maintenance with special care in plant choice as the ground was very waterlogged.

A low maintenance garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This garden had a gentle slope from side to side and we were asked to provide a level lawn and new patio after a new conservatory was added. Brick walls were used to create the level area for lawn and these same bricks were used around the edge of the paving and the lawn for continuity. Indian sandstone paving was laid in a random rectangular pattern to form the patio and paths.
A low maintenance gravel front garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
A very low maintenance front garden with gravelled borders edged with paviours and a block paved path curving towards the back gate. The central area is covered with a different gravel and has a large specimen plant as its focal point.

A level town garden including patio, lawn, timber decking, planting and small pool built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This garden was rebuilt around the plunge pool bought by the client. The entire garden was themed around the shape of the pool with a new patio, level brick edged lawn and deck. Lighting has been included in the deck area to allow the garden to be enjoyed in the evenings. Mature bamboo has been planted in one area to provide screening from the neighbouring house.

A statue focal point in a large garden built by Wyld landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
A small area of a large garden that required a focal point. This can also be viewed through an archway from the house and a "nautical star" feature in the patio also points to this feature.
A granite patio and block paved path built by Wyld Landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
This large patio is built using granite paving laid in a tudor pattern. The path running from the door to the rest of the garden follows the theme of the rest of the garden in snaking around circular lawns and planting areas.

Another view of the granite patio showing the path snaking across the patio and around the first of three circular lawn areas. This also helps to break up the large patio area. The slabs are butt jointed to maintain a uniform surface.
A granite patio and timber gates built by Wyld Landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
In the same garden as the previous two photos, a path is built from the patio to the new garage and new gates leading to the drive. This runs past the shed base where a new shed will be built. A wide gravel area forms a secure parking bay.
A block paved drive with electric gates built by Wyld Landscapes and designed by Postal Garden Design
A new drive was laid using tumbled block paviours to enhance the look of the property with a set of electric gates for added security. A seperate pedestrian gate was included to allow access for visitors such as postmen.
